Knowledge is Power

When it comes to your pet's health. This eye-opening documentary encourages pet parents to become informed advocates for their dogs' nutritional needs.

"Pet Fooled"

The Shocking Truth About The Pet Food Industry" is a 2016 documentary that exposes critical issues within the commercial pet food industry

Here are the key takeaways that every pet parent should know:

1. Mixed Priorities Across the Industry
The documentary highlights how certain segments of the industry may compromise nutritional quality for cost savings. It's important for pet parents to research and identify brands that truly put pet wellness first.

3. What Pet Parents Can Do

  • Research ingredient lists carefully

  • Consider fresh, whole food alternatives

  • Work with knowledgeable veterinarians

  • Question marketing claims and do independent research

2. Lack of Regulation & Transparency

The pet food industry operates with minimal oversight compared to human food standards. Ingredient sourcing and manufacturing processes often lack transparency.

How We Partner with Our Parents

Summer is here and boy is it HOT! It's pool time at Waggy World but don't wait to prepare and protect your dogs from the heat! One important thing to keep in mind during this time is your dog's paw pads. Hot surfaces such as sand, asphalt, or pavement can burn your dogs paw pads. Consider these tips to protect them:

• Stick to grassy areas

• Use paw booties or other protective care

• Keep paw pads moisturized using paw wax, balm or moisturizer

• Inspect paw pads for injuries

• Try touching pavement for 10 seconds to test if it's too hot. If        you struggle to keep your hand down, it's too hot.

• Save walks for the cooler hours of the day

• Keep your dog hydrated

Training Tips & Tricks: Mastering Recall

Sheila's Journey:

When Sheila first joined the Waggy World pack a few months ago, she had little socialization experience and needed guidance to feel comfortable around other dogs and people. While this sweet, affectionate pup had so much love to give, she struggled with obedience skills - these are super important for building confidence and establishing clear communication between dog and handler. But with dedication from both Sheila and our team, the transformation has been incredible!  Sheila has grown tremendously in her social skills, confidence, and obedience training. Watching her blossom from a hesitant pup into the confident, well-socialized dog she is today has been pure joy!

Great job, Sheila!  Your progress shows what's possible with the right environment, consistent training, and lots of love. We're so proud to be part of your journey!

Stories like Sheila's remind us why we do what we do - helping every dog reach their full potential!
